Maintenance Department Supervisor Our Long-term care facility is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the operations of a maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and leadership, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and compliant environment.
Responsibilities: - Manage all maintenance department activities, staff, and operations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to assess safety, upkeep, appearance, and equipment performance.
- Supervise, schedule, and delegate responsibilities to maintenance team members.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of all maintenance and repair work.
- Coordinate and monitor contracted services for maintenance and repairs to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.
- Oversee department budgets, operations, and track expenditures.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with State/Federal regulations and OSHA standards.
- Remain available on an "on-call" basis for emergency situations.
Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, and commitment to quality service.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain focus, and perform under pressure.
- Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
