- The Cook is responsible for preparation/cooking of foods and to provide our residents with all of their meals and/or snacks in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility while focusing on customer service and satisfaction
- Cook will provide our residents with all of their meals in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all dietetic needs, policies, and procedures of the facility and New York State Department of Health codes while focusing on customer service and satisfaction.
- Cook will use proper dining room service for the residents and/or family members
- Cook will use proper in kitchen preparation and cleaning in regard to the station assigned to you
- Cook will prepare all foods adhering to all NY State codes and regulations for sanitation, storage and temperature
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience and training in food preparation in a health care facility or related food service operation
- Completion of an approved sanitation course or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 years' experience as a Cook in a health care setting desired
- Must have a full knowledge of all sanitary codes and all menu production methods.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
- Exemplary customer service skills
