We are looking for a Director of Housekeeping in Bronx, NY.
Responsibilities - Oversee all team members in the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
- Ensure the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Organize and coordinate work schedules, assigning staff to designated tasks and areas.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, training sessions, and staff development programs.
- Offer individualized support and encouragement to employees.
- Allocate equipment to team members and oversee daily usage, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment.
- Confirm that all equipment remains in clean, working condition at all times.
Qualifications - Previous experience in a housekeeping management role is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is a minimum requirement.
- Preferably completed a course in institutional housekeeping management.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, drive for excellence, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of budgeting and an understanding of profit and loss principles.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Effective stress management and proven leadership capabilities.
