Surfpoint Recovery is a cutting edge substance-use-disorder (SUD) treatment center located in Coney Island, Brooklyn NY. We are an OASAS-licensed and CARF-certified Center of Excellence. Surfpoint Recovery offers inpatient detox, withdrawal, and stabilization services, as well as inpatient rehabilitation services for individuals with substance use disorder. We are looking for an Environmental Service Aide to be part of the housekeeping/operations department. The Environmental Service Aide ensures offices, client rooms, and the facility are kept clean and orderly.
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday (3:00pm - 11:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Keep paper and chemical supplies stored in work rooms neat and organized.
- Keep housekeeping cart clean and stocked.
- Complete "Detail Cleaning" such as wiping ceiling vents, high/low dusting, wiping furniture, edge vacuuming and baseboard cleaning.
- Perform basic equipment care, checks for wear and damage on assigned equipment.
- Keep track of client clothing belongings for return
- Must stay current and knowledgeable on proper disinfection practices and infection control requirements, standards, and techniques for infection reduction.
- Perform light extraction carpet cleaning and scrubbing of safety flooring using automated equipment.
Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare setting or similar preferred.
SKILLS:
- Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail
- Proven working experience in relevant field (healthcare facility)
- Ability to work independently and remain motivated
- Helpful with customer service orientation
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Knowledge of English language
