Our Skilled Nursing Facility is looking to hire a Director of Human Resources (HR) .
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain accurate schedules for the nursing department
- Act as the liaison between the Payroll Department and the facility, coordinating payroll timecards and resolving related issues
- Serve as the intermediary between the Payroll Department and Benefits Administrator to coordinate employee benefits
- Supervise the front desk staff and oversee all their responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and Department of Health for all new hires, including time-clock enrollment, criminal background/reference checks, and license verification
- Oversee recruitment processes by identifying open positions, screening candidates, and conducting interviews
- Attend facility management meetings as needed
- Contribute to team goals by achieving related results when necessary
- Manage HR duties such as employee discipline (in partnership with department heads), changes in payroll status, terminations, resignations, and retirements
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: - Previous experience in HR or staffing is required
- A background or degree in HR is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of human resource administration
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills are essential
