PURPOSE: The Activities Aide provides therapeutic activities to residents that are designed to meet the interests and to improve the physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of each resident according to the comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care.
DUTIES:
- HOURS 10AM-6PM
- Assist the Activities Director with implementing activity programs to meet the needs of the resident(s)
- Maintain resources needed for each residents’ activity needs
- Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately
- Attend all in-service classes as assigned and complete assignments
- Document resident activities provided to residents and the resident's response or lack of response
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information
- Follow facility procedure transfer of residents for activity participation
- Come to work in a clean, neat uniform and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
- Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook
- Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
