Building Office Manager (BOM) for a well-established skilled nursing facility in
Buffalo, NY. This critical role involves working closely with residents and their families to manage financial matters, ensuring that all documentation and processes are handled efficiently and with compassion.
Key Responsibilities: - Meet confidentially with residents and families to discuss and guide them through their financial obligations.
- Assist with gathering and processing documentation for Medicaid applications.
- Input and maintain accurate census information in both billing and clinical software.
- Oversee the collection of private and income-related payments due to the facility.
- Assist with the insurance authorization process.
- Distribute resident funds and manage financial accounts for residents.
- Ensure that all admission agreements are signed and properly documented.
- Provide additional administrative support and perform other duties as required.
What We're Looking For: - Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO processes is a strong plus.
- Ability to meet with residents and families and discuss sensitive financial matters with professionalism and care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
