Maintenance Assistant. JOB SUMMARY: Maintains efficient operation and upkeep of the property building and grounds in a supportive role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Job Summary:
Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the property, including the building and grounds, in a supportive role.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily repairs and upkeep of the property to ensure it remains in good condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of all maintenance-related areas, specifically those pertaining to the nursing care facility.
- Prepare units for new occupants, ensuring they are fully ready for move-in.
- Manage the care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or management company.
- Maintain and supply personal tools required for Service Technician duties.
- Report any unusual or significant issues related to the property or residents.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, adhering to the required property uniform at all times.
- Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are kept clean and organized.
- Provide courteous and efficient responses to maintenance requests, including availability for on-call emergencies.
- Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and the company's safety policies at all times.
- Stay informed and comply with the policies of the management company and the property community.
- Perform a variety of tasks as needed, including transporting resident beds, small appliances, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical work, snow removal, window/door repair, flooring, furnace/A/C maintenance, roofing, and carpentry.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
