Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing our nursing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, management, and a long-term care setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and leading the nursing staff to provide exceptional care to residents
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Aide in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights
- Oversee medical records management and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident care and services
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the quality of care provided
- Implement training programs for staff development
- Be on call for Nursing emergencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY
- Proven experience in nursing leadership roles in Long-Term care settings
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing systems, and best practice
- Familiarity with home care services and regulations
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
