Centers Health Care is seeking an experienced Nurse with a strong background in incident and accident investigations to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare settings, with expertise in investigating incidents and accidents and reporting to the Department of Health (DOH). This position is critical in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, improving patient safety, and contributing to the overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and accidents within the healthcare facility, including identifying root causes, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident and accident reports to the Department of Health (DOH) in accordance with regulatory guidelines and timelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, administrators, and safety officers, to ensure proper follow-up on incidents and accidents.
- Analyze patterns in incidents and accidents to identify trends and areas for improvement in patient care and safety protocols.
- Provide recommendations to improve safety policies, procedures, and practices based on investigation outcomes.
- Ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements related to incident and accident reporting are met.
- Participate in staff training and education on incident reporting, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all incidents and investigations.
- Support quality improvement initiatives by sharing insights from investigations and collaborating on safety enhancements.
Qualifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proven expertise in incident and accident investigations within healthcare environments.
- In-depth knowledge of DOH reporting requirements and regulatory standards.
