We are looking for a Director of Housekeeping in Bronx, NY.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all team members in the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
• Ensure the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Organize and coordinate work schedules, assigning staff to designated tasks and areas.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, training sessions, and staff development programs.
• Offer individualized support and encouragement to employees.
• Allocate equipment to team members and oversee daily usage, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment.
• Confirm that all equipment remains in clean, working condition at all times.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a housekeeping management role is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent education is a minimum requirement.
• Preferably completed a course in institutional housekeeping management.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, drive for excellence, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of budgeting and an understanding of profit and loss principles.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Effective stress management and proven leadership capabilities.
