We are an inpatient drug treatment program seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Substance Use Counselor Assistant to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Assist counselor with maintaining client caseload needs that are within scope of practice.
- Weekly individual and group counseling sessions with counselor QHP oversight
- Performs assessment that are within scope of practice
- Assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture that will meet the treatment and service needs of patients and families
- Assist with weekly utilization reviews based on established clinical and administrative protocols with counselor
- Assist with the review, process and distribute incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed
- Provide input for employee reviews as requested
- Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews
- Assist counselor with the clinical discharge process
- Responsible for adhering to a standard of maintaining 10 billable units of service per day based on caseload
- Monitors patient toxicology testing if needed
- Maintain a clean work environment
Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in related field preferred
- At least one (1) year of related experience preferred (Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, or Chemical Dependency setting), OR
- Current enrollment in classes related to human services, alcoholism, substance abuse, or chemical dependency
- Current enrollment in 350 clock hours towards CASAC credential
